Welcome to London! How to get to Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths is located in New Cross, South East London and is around 20 minutes by train from central London. Look at the map below to see where Goldsmiths is in London and to get a sense of where you might want to stay. We recommend any location on the Overground Line (Orange) for ease of access to Goldsmiths.

Where is Goldsmiths?

Goldsmiths campus is 5 minutes walk from both New Cross and New Cross Gate train stations which are both served by National Rail services and the London Overground Network.

Both the London Underground and local bus services use a travel card scheme called the Oyster Card. This is an electronic card that can be with cash using ‘Top Up’ machines at all stations, and in some local shops. We recommend that you use an Oyster Card (£5 deposit) and top up your card using ‘Pay-as-you-go’ credit. This offers the cheapest fares available. Ask staff in underground stations for more details.

You could download a free travel application for your smartphone, such as TUBEMAP to calculate your best journey day and night. You can also pick up a tube map from all London Underground stations.
