About the Conference SiteNIME 2005 will take place at the University of British Columbia (campus map). The conference will take place at the following locations on the UBC campus:
The registration desk is at the Forest Sciences Centre (FSC) atrium. More information on the conference room in FSC is also available, and also on the demo rooms 1611, 1613, 1615, and 1617. Installations will take place in the ICICS atrium and ICICS x615. Directions to the UBC Campus
Address (accommodation): Driving from Vancouver International Airport: From the airport, follow the signs to Vancouver. Take the Granville Street - City Centre exit. Turn left at West 70th Avenue. Veer right onto SW Marine Drive. Follow SW Marine Drive for approximately 15 km (10 miles). Continue past UBC Gates 4 and turn right (South) onto Wesbrook Mall. Follow Wesbrook to Gate 2 at Student Union Blvd. and turn right. Taxi: The cab fare cost $25 Cdn for a 20-25 minute trip to University of British Columbia. Public Transport: The commute will take approximately 1.5 hours cost $3.25 cdn.

In addition, a laptop computer and surround speakers will be available should you have need of them. If you have additional requirements, please email Steve Oldridge to make individual arrangements. Poster boards will be provided for poster presenters. The poster boards are 4 feet tall x 8 feet wide (1.2 metres tall x 2.4 metres wide - approximately A0 landscape size), made from cork. Please ensure that your poster does not exceed these dimensions. The poster boards will be brought out at 1pm (13:00) on the first day. Each day, they will be displayed from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm (13:30 - 15:00). On the first day of the conference, please put your poster up in the Forest Science Centre atrium before 1:30 pm (13:30). The poster boards will be stored in a secure area after the poster session and brought out for you each morning. Push pins will be supplied. Please do not attach tape to the poster boards. Please ensure that you are at your poster during your poster session period.
