important notes
- Full conference fee includes access to all oral presentations, keynote lectures, poster sessions, demonstrations, installations, evening concerts and late-night concerts. It also includes the welcome reception on May 26.
- Cancellations after May 12 are not refundable.
- Please be aware that, in order to present your work (paper/poster/music/demo/etc.), you need to have at least one of the authors/submitters registered by May 12. Otherwise your work will not be published in the conference proceedings and/or program book.

student volunteer program
Just like last year, NIME 2013 offers a student volunteer program.
benefits
- We waive the registration fee.
- Volunteers will receive free NIME staff T-Shirt.
expectations
- Expected to help for 12 hours on tasks assigned by the organizing team.
- Be on time for assigned tasks. Note that we will do our best to avoid conflict between the student's presentation obligations and their assignments.
selection process
- application: please email Mr. Bongjun Kim to let us know that you apply by April 26
- lottery: selection results will be announced by April 28. We hope to offer up to 8 volunteer opportunities.
Regitration fees will be refunded for those who already paid and are later selected, so feel free to proceed with your payment.
- waitlist: people who are not selected during the lottery will stay waitlisted. You may ask to be added to the waitlist after April 26.
We hope the volunteer program offers a great opportunity to see how NIME is realized, and look forward to having friendly enthusiastic volunteers to help us out.
In order to qualify you must have had student status - either undergraduate or graduate (incuding Ph.D.) - for at least one semester during the academic year before NIME 2013.
