General information on KAIST, including travel information, can be found here.
For those of you who will visit Korea through the Incheon International Airport (ICN), we recommend the following options for your travel from ICN to KAIST.

airport limousine bus

1) ICN [map] to Daejeon Government Complex [map]
You may take the limousine bus for Daejeon Government Complex at 9D on the first floor.
  • runs about every 30 minutes (from 06:00 to 23:10) | 180-200 minutes to Daejeon |

2) Daejeon Government Complex [map] to KAIST [map] (or hotels)
From Daejeon Government Complex terminal to KAIST (or any hotels listed below), we recommend that you take a taxi.

Gates and bus stops at Incheon International Airport

1) ICN [map] to Seoul Station [map]
Take the Airport Railroad (AR) at the Incheon Int'l Airport Station (B1 floor).
  • Commuter - interval: about 12 min. | travel time: 53 min. | fare: KRW 3,950
  • Express - interval: 30 min. | travel time: 43 min. | fare: KRW 8,000

2) Seoul Station [map] to Daejeon Station [map]
At Seoul Station, you can take KTX (Korean Train Express) which will comfortably take you to Daejeon within an hour.
