Submissions are handled by the NIME 07 Installation online submission interface and require a description (in the English language) of the proposed piece and additional documentation material.
We invite proposals for site-specific installations, modular, sculptural, audio-visual, immersive and unconventional art work.
The main criterion for the Installation submission is audio-visual documentation of the work. This is required of all submissions and it should be submitted as a URL, linking audio and video files to be downloaded or viewed. Special circumstance requests regarding other, less preferable, delivery methods can be addressed to installations [at] nime2007.org. Video documentation should be in QuickTime, MPEG, Divx, or AVI format.
A single paragraph description of the project should be included, along with a description of technical systems and technical requirements.
All material involved in an Installation must be provided by the participant(s). Additional technical support may be proposed by the organizers depending on the availability of additional technical resources for the conference. The Installation venue will be outfitted with power access for each accepted project, with data connection supplied upon request. Installations must be shown for the full 3 days of the conference, beginning on the morning on Thursday, June 7th and ending in the evening on Saturday June 9th (Longer exhibition periods may be possible - Please put a note to this effect in your application if so desired).

EYEBEAM - New York's most innovative cultural organization - has partnered with NIME 2007 to offer exhibition space to a portion of the installations accepted to the conference. Other spaces in the New York University area will be available as well. Photos of these other locales will be posted here as they are confirmed.
