DEMO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Demos must be accompanied by a 2-page written poster submission. The 2-page Poster will be displayed at the Demo Sessions and included in the proceedings. The Poster should address the scientific/technical aspects of the project, acquired experiences and/or the context of the development of the project to be demonstrated.

Along with the 2-page Poster, please include a one-paragraph text description to help the organizers to schedule the Demo within the Demo sessions in an appropriate space. Please provide any details that help the organizers to envision the demo in advance, such as the technology required and the required audio/video output (number of channels, headphones or loud speakers).

To further describe the expected interaction with the Demo, the submission MUST include at least TWO (2) of the following to support the application (detail approximate duration and the possibility of any periodic repetition):

  1. Image, audio or video documentation of the completed project.
  2. A simple example of representative audiovisual material in a loop.
  3. A simple example of documentation exposition of technology.
  4. A description of where and what can touch and try with the technology you are planning on demonstrating at the conference including audio and/or video output.
  5. A description of where and what can be touched or tried with the technology in a complete setup including audio and/or video output.
  6. Any document of a demonstration by the participant(s) in front of visitors.

It is preferred that any information above that requiring the submission of large digital files should be uploaded to a server and submitted as a URL for download or viewing. Special circumstance requests regarding other, less preferable, delivery methods can be addressed to demos [at] nime2007.org. Video documentation should be in QuickTime, MPEG, Divx, or AVI format.

All material and equipment required for a Demo has to be provided by the participant. Additional technical support may be proposed by the organizers depending on the availability of additional technical resources for the conference.

Please note that the acceptance of a Demo is based on the quality of the Demo documentation as well as the Poster content.

Templates for poster submissions related to demos:

Submission must in pdf format. We have prepared updated Microsoft Word and LaTeX2e templates to assist you in preparing your submission, which can be downloaded here.

If you have not already, please remove the ACM "Categories & Subject Descriptors", "General Terms", and "ACM Classification" from your submission. These sections should not appear in your camera ready submission. However, please keep the "Keywords" section and choose a few words to help categorize your paper.

Vendor Booths

For presentations of commercial products and companies not associated with a conference submission, there will be Vendor Booths. For more information, please contact vendors [at] nime2007.org.
