Abstract:

After eight years of practice on the first hyper-flute prototype (a flute extended with sensors), this article presentsa retrospective of its instrumental practice and the newdevelopments planned from both technological and musical perspectives. Design, performance skills, and mappingstrategies are discussed, as well as interactive compositionand improvisation.
