Abstract

Motion-based interactive systems have long been utilizedin contemporary dance performances. These performancesbring new insight to sound-action experiences in multidisciplinary art forms. This paper discusses the related technology within the framework of the dance piece, Raja. The performance set up of Raja gives a possibility to use two complementary tracking systems and two alternative choices formotion sensors in real-time audio-visual synthesis.
