Abstract:

In this paper we present new issues and challenges relatedto the vertical tablet playing. The approach is based on apreviously presented instrument, the HANDSKETCH. Thisinstrument has now been played regularly for more than twoyears by several performers. Therefore this is an opportunityto propose a better understanding of the performing strategy.We present the behavior of the whole body as an underlyingaspect in the manipulation of the instrument.
